Hi I'm Laura

I am a civil engineering student and dream of making a difference in the world. And I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student studying civil engineering, and hope to go into the global outreach aspect of it, as well as going on to get a master's degree in architecture. I love creating new things, whether it be something food-related, or just a fun craft to brighten up the home. I love reading and pretty much anything music-related, including singing. Any day that I can make someone smile or laugh is a good day for me. If I could spend all day taking pictures, I would do it in a heartbeat. I love making new friends, learning new things, and being as spontaneous and fun as I can!

Why I am a Mormon

Quite simply, I am a member because I know it's true! I have studied and prayed about it myself and I know, without a shadow of a doubt that it is true. Not only that but it brings me such indescribable joy! Knowing that Christ has atoned for my sins, that He loves me, and that because of His sacrifice, I can live with Him and my amazing family for all of eternity helps me to get through any trial that is thrown my way.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through how I choose to live my life. I strive to always serve and help others, and this church helps me to do that. I am currently serving as a full-time missionary, and missions are all about serving and helping others. Outside of the church setting, I look for opportunities every day to give what little I may have as a college student to help make life better for someone else, whether it be five dollars to a food drive or just a listening ear. Whatever the situation may be, I try to act as I know Christ would in the same situation.
