Hi I'm Gerry

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and am the father of two daughters and three sons. I enjoy playing just about any sport but ride bikes and play racquetball multiple times each week. I have always enjoyed the outdoors and am an avid sportsman.

Why I am a Mormon

I believe that Jesus Christ is my savior from death and sin and only by following Him can I become justified thru his grace. He has taught His gospel of faith and repentance thru all of his prophets from the time of Adam. Jesus used His own mortal life to provide a perfect example of how we should live and implement His gospel into our lives. I am a Mormon because, after reading the Book of Mormon, I believe God answered my prayers and made me aware that the Book of Mormon was written by His prophets. That the Book of Mormon was meant to be available to all men and be a companion to the Bible as it testifies of Jesus Christ and His gospel. I believe that Jesus Christ is still involved in the direct leadership of his church on earth thru living modern day prophets. That church is called The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. Living and applying the teaching of Jesus Christ in my life has brought me my greatest blessing and happiness.

How I live my faith

I try live my life as Jesus Christ would have me. I learned to love the Japanese people as I served a full-time 2 year mission in Tokyo Japan. I read the scriptures with my family often and we have weekly discussions around how we, as a family, can implement Jesus Christ’s teachings into our lives. As I say my personal prayers, I am constantly reminded of my responcibility to look outside my own desires and focus time and energy in the serves of others in need. I currently serve in the church by working with the Cub Scouts as the pack Cub Scout Master.
