Hi I'm Bonnie

I'm a wife, homemaker, and mother of 2. I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a wife and mother of 2 children. I am a stay at home mom and I love it! I homeschool our children and I love the time I get to spend teaching and learning with them each day. I am also working towards completing my bachelor's degree in General Studies with an emphasis in Home and Family Living. I have many hobbies. I love music and I enjoy playing the piano and singing regularly. I love sewing in pretty much any form; crochet, quilting, knitting, cross-stitching, embroidery. I love putting my own personal touch on my projects. I love reading and expanding my knowledge through the written word. I love horseback riding, being out in nature on a horse is one of my favorite places to be. As a family we also enjoy hiking, playing at a park or playground, and getting together with friends.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I believe with every part of me that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the true Church with so much to offer me and you. It helps me to find joy in the good times as well as the bad. Life is full of challenges and I have had my share of them. A few years ago my mother suffered a massive stroke and has had to relearn many things. Now she is a very different woman from the one that I grew up with. At first this was very difficult for me to deal with and I mourned over my loss. But through the gospel I have found peace and joy in my situation. I will always cherish my memories of my mother growing up, but I love my "new" mom as well, and I have grown closer to her in many ways that may not have been possible had she not had a stroke. The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is the greatest blessing and gift I have in my life. Through it I find more joy in being a wife, a mother, a daughter, a sister, etc. I find great confidence because I know why I am here on the earth living my life today. I know I am important in God's plan and that he will help me every step of the way. I have and sadly will continue to make mistakes, sometimes big and sometimes small, but I have and will repent of those sins and become clean again and get back on the path the Lord wants me to be on.

How I live my faith

My husband and I joke back and forth about how often we seem to be at the Church. I attend my Church meetings every Sunday and often on one or two weekday evenings as well. I work with the children and I love it. Sometimes I get to step in and lead singing time, or play the piano. Each month I also get to attend a meeting just for women where we socialize and enjoy each others company while working on projects, learning a new skill, or serving others. I look forward to this meeting each month as it gives me an opportunity to get out of the house and socialize with other women while my husband spends an evening with the kids.
