Hi I'm Kathleen Crawford

I am a wife, a mom, a grandmother a secretary. I like to knit and garden and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been widowed and now I am remarried. This brought me the experience of being a step-mom as my husband had full custody of his 5 children. Being a step-mother was very hard and I didn't do it very well. Now we are raising one of his grandchildren who has some behavioral problems beyond the average child. My faith in Jesus Christ keeps me going through these challenges as well as my challenge with my health. I have been to many doctors and have gotten few answers. I know that we are here in this life to have challenging experiences so that we can grow and learn. I know that as we try to love and serve others we will be serving God and becoming the person He wants us to be. I look forward to that next stage of my life with my parents and other loved ones who have gone to the life beyond what we know here on earth and I know it will be glorious and wonderful.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a loving home where my parents were members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I was raised in the church and taught the Gospel. I have received a testimony that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. I also have a testimony that Joseph Smith, who brought the book into being, with the help of God was a true prophet and that each president of the church since him, even up to Pres. Monson, are each true prophets of God.

How I live my faith

I have had may jobs in the church. I have taught in the children and women's organizations as well as the youth. I have been a Cub Scout Den leader when my children were raised because I believe that God wanted me to do so. I continue to serve in any position that I am asked to fill. I love to read and study the scriptures and learn how to draw closer to God. Each week we have a Family Home Evening with our grandson and are teaching him how to interact better with others as well as how to live the Gospel
