Hi I'm Paige

I'm a total nerd, I love sunshine, wearing dresses, and my family. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm the third of four children. I'm a total nerd majoring in Psychology and minoring in Statistics. My dream job is to teach at a university. I'm passionate about literature and social issues and ice cream. I love dark chocolate, sunshine, vintage clothing, flowers, Dickens, Hardy, Austen (not necessarily in that order), sleeping in, cotton candy, lefties, dimples, classical music, swings, roller coasters, ee cummings, Asian boy bands, wearing dresses, holding hands, being barefoot, Redvines, and all things that make this life wonderful!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because all the experiences in my life have taught me that there is no other way for me to be happy. I love the gospel so much! I don't find peace or joy anywhere else. I know that God knows me and loves me, and I'm grateful for His patience with my imperfect efforts to follow Him. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints is His church upon the earth today and that it what restored through Joseph Smith. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God. Reading that book and the Bible has changed my life. Daily scripture study and counseling with my Heavenly Father through prayer keeps me safe from sin and provides the guidance I need to face the future with courage and hope.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith by loving everyone around me. I've found that as we try to see others without judging them, God will open our eyes to how He see them. Everyone is a child of God. He loves everyone. I try to see the goodness in those around me. I also try to spend my days with God. I feel close to Him when I pray and read His words. I include Him in the decisions I make and show appreciation for His many blessings by serving others. I've worked with the women in my church in the past. I tried to meet their needs and be sensitive to their concerns by listening to the spirit. I've also had the chance to serve as a teacher. I'm super super excited to serve as a missionary for 18 months! I know that through this sacrifice, I will be blessed and learn more about my Savior and His love for us.

What do Mormons believe concerning the doctrine of grace?

Paige
This life is a time to become like God. We can't become like Him without His help. Because of His atonement, Jesus Christ always knows how to help us. 2 Nephi 25:23 teaches "for we know that it is by grace we are saved after all we can do". To me the second we in this verse is me and Jesus together. We need His grace and power every moment of every day to lead the kind of lives He has asked us to lead and to one day live with Him again. What is the role of the husband and the wife in the family?

Paige
Husbands and wives are to work together to provide the best environment for their children and to teach their children good principles. How each family divides family responsibilities is between each couple and the Lord. This division will look different for each family, but if husbands and wives seek the Lord's counsel, they will receive divine guidance. Show more Show less
