Hi I'm Denise

I grew up in Texas. I'm the mother of four children and I have worked in the public school system for many years. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My number one claim to fame is being a wife and the mother of two daughters and two sons. Raising a family has been a great source of growth and happiness. I have also had the opportunity to teach in the public school system for many years both as a regular classroom teacher and a reading tutor. I enjoy working with children whether it is in school, a piano studio, primary or at home. I like to camp and watch our children participate in many varied activities.

Why I am a Mormon

My parents were taught the gospel and baptized when I was very young so I do not remember a time when the gospel was not the center of my life. I love the peace the gospel brings. Gospel teachings instill a sense of confidence and love. They give you a moral center that when adhered to brings great happiness and unity to you and your family. Many of life's trials are averted by following gospel principles. It is such a blessing to know that I can be with my family throughout eternity.

How I live my faith

I feel that daily prayer as an individual and with our family sets the tone for each day. Daily scripture study as an individual and with our family gives us courage to face trials. Meeting as a family on Monday evenings for group discussions and learning bring us unity and understanding. I enjoy working with young children at church especially during music time. The songs of the gospel teach every principle the children need to know to bring them happiness.
