Hi I'm Brett

I was born in San Diego and raised in Atlanta. I received The Boy Scouts of America: Honor Medal with Crossed Palms. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a Senior getting a bachelor's degree in Business Management. I have been married for two years. My wife and I were set up on a blind date in our senior year of high school. She is a converted Episcopalian to the gospel and was baptized while I was serving a mission in Salta, Argentina. My free has always been spent wakeboaring, wakeskating, and basketball. I am an Eagle Scout and in 2007 I received the Boy Scouts of America's highest award, extreme risk heroism award -- the Honor Medal With Crossed Palms -- for 2007.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because of the light and happiness it brings to my life. The knowledge that the Gospel of Jesus Christ provides, can life the lowest of hearts. Knowing that I have a Heavenly Father who knows me personally, and will personally hear me and answer my prayers is a blessing beyond belief. I'm a Mormon because i can sealed to my Beautiful wife for time and all eternity. I do not have to worry about losing her or my future children after this life is over. They are a blessing that our Heavenly Father has given us to cherish and hold on to for all eternity. Through the sealing power of the priesthood, that was restored through the Prophet Joseph Smith, TRUE happiness and joy are attainable in this life. I am a Mormon because I have had too many experiences in my life to not believe in the Gospel. It is through that same power of the Priesthood that I am alive today. Through a blessing given to me as a baby by one of the Lord's chosen Apostles, President Howard W. Hunter, my small infant body was able to overcome two giant coronary aneurisms after Doctors said I would not survive the severe situation I was in. This is why I'm a Mormon, because The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is the only church on the face of this Earth, with the true and restored Priesthood Power, that Christ himself used to create this Universe.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by fulfilling the callings that the Lord has given me, through Modern day revelation. -I served a two-year mission trip in Salta, Argentina. -I serve as an assistant Scoutmaster with the Boy Scouts in our area -I teach a group of brethren every third Sunday -I participate with the Mormon Helping Hands Relief Efforts when Called upon -I am a Home teacher to certain families of our church. I offer them help and share with them a monthly spiritual message.

What is being a Mormon like?

Brett
It is no different other than a normal life. Except for the knowledge the you receive. Knowing the true plan of happiness that our Heavenly Father has for us brings more joy and peace into our lives. I can live through Faith of knowing what my Father in Heaven has in store for me, rather than living in fear of what might happen tomorrow, or the next day. Show more Show less
