Hi I'm Holly

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born in Utah but was raised in Pennsylvania. I will forever be a Philly Girl. I went to BYU and met my wonderful Husband Brent. We have 3 boys, and a dog. I love being a mom, traveling, reading and being outside.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon my whole life. My religion has meant so much to me through the years. As a child and teenager I was active in the church because that was what my family did. As an adult, because of the routine I have always had of going to church and worshiping I continued to do so. It wasn't until I left home and went to college that I realized that my religion was my choice. I chose to live my religion on my own. I have continued to be an active member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and I have had the opportunity to serve in many callings in the church. This church has shaped my life and helped me to become who I am today. I am very grateful for the church. I feel that it has helped me to become a better mother, daughter, and wife because of its teachings and examples of the members. I have many friends who are not of my faith. To them I would say that my church is wonderful. It helps me to feel happy and content with myself. It is helping me to raise my family with good values. It gives me opportunities to serve other people. I feel that I am doing what God wants me to do. I believe in Jesus Christ. He is my Savior and my redeemer. When I sin, I can ask Heavenly Father for forgiveness in prayer and be forgiven. I know that Jesus Christ lives, was resurrected and listens to my prayers. I believe that I have a Father in Heaven that knows me and loves me. I believe in the Holy Ghost, his spirit has guided me and comforted me when I needed him. There is a living prophet on the earth, Thomas S Monson. I know his teachings are true. I also believe the Book of Mormon to be the word of God. It is a second witness of Jesus Christ along with the Bible. I believe that Joseph Smith prayed to God and saw God and Jesus Christ. Through their guidance he restored Christ's church to the earth today. I love my church and I am proud to be a Mormon.

How I live my faith

I live my faith day by day. I try to live the commandments. I attend church every Sunday. I serve the youth in my ward. I volunteer at my kids school, and I try to be aware of the needs of my friends and neighbors. I try to follow the teachings of Jesus Christ and my church leaders.
