Hi I'm Adam

I'm a husband and father. I have my MBA. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married and have 4 beautiful children. I earned a bachelor of science degree and then later completed my MBA. I work for a major university and love helping others seek and complete their post-secondary education. I'm happiest spending time with my family, serving in my church and playing basketball with friends. I'd like to become a better cook and love creating new and interesting dishes to share with my family.

Why I am a Mormon

The greatest feeling in the world is to feel the influence of the Holy Spirit, which helps me grow closer to my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. I feel this influence often as I attend my church meetings and study my scriptures, which include the Book of Mormon. I know this book is true scripture given to us by God through his holy prophets. I know Joseph Smith was a true prophet of God that saw both the Father and the Son in a sacred grove in upstate New York. He spoke with them. They called him to restore their true and living church here upon the earth. He translated the Book of Mormon from gold plates through the power of God. This book, along with the bible, are special gifts to us that help us know exactly how and what we need to do in order to return to live with our Heavenly Father and His son, Jesus Christ. I know this to be true through the power of the Holy Spirit, which has convinced me of the truth. I could never deny it. It is true and I testify that Jesus Christ lives and loves each of us. He guides his church today through living prophets and apostles. I love Him and desire to share my knowledge of Him with others so they might also experience the great joy I feel.

How I live my faith

I serve as my ward financial clerk. I have a special responsibility to help care for and keep track of the tithes and offerings that come into the church through the generosity of its members. I work closely with the bishop as he determines how some of these funds can be used to assist those who are in need. What a blessing it is for me to be a part of this process. I also enjoy serving in my community. We (members of the church) often join together to do service for others. When I am helping clean someones yard or helping serve food to the homeless, I often reflect on how the Savior served those in need. I am grateful that I can do a small part in helping Him serve those whom he cares so much about. I also serve as a home teacher. I visit members of our ward and help ensure that their needs are taken care of. Through this home teaching program, all members are accounted for and taken care of. We look out for one another. It is comforting to know that the Lord, Jesus Christ, still looks out for those who follow Him. He often does this through these special programs that He has set up through His church.

Who chooses the Mormon prophet?

Since the very beginning of time, Jesus Christ has always chosen valiant and humble men to be His mouthpiece to the world. Just as in times of old, He continues to choose righteous men to speak for Him to all the world. Our prophet today is Thomas S. Monson. I have heard him speak on several occasions and had the opportunity to meet him personally on one special occasion. The Spirit of God has testified to me that he is truly called of God and does indeed speak for the Savior when directed to do so. Jesus Christ leads his church today and He directs that church through His personally chosen prophet. Show more Show less
