Hi I'm Jeremy

I am 15 yrs old, an Eagle Scout, a son to my parents, a brother to my 8 sisters and 2 brothers, I like basketball. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am 15 years old and I love to play basketball and go to the Suns games with my dad. My dad has been a big part of my life. When I was only 2 yrs old my father was put in as the Scout Master for the troop in our church. I started going on all the activities with him. When I went into Scouts he was my Scout Master. I received my Eagle when I was 14. My family does a lot of fun things together. We go to Newport Beach, California where I surf. We go to Lake Powell where I love to fish. We go to Colorado where in the winter time I snowboard and in the summer I mountain bike. I go to a very small semi-private charter school where almost everyone is Mormon. I sometimes hate this but I know my mom and dad want the best for me. I want to serve a mission for our church like my father did. He served his mission in Argentina. I want to marry in the Temple. I always thought I wanted to play pro basketball but I did not grow tall enough. Sometimes I think I want to be an attorney and sometimes a surgeon. I just know I want to be able to take care of my family like my father does us.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have a testimony of the Gospel. I know this is the true church of Jesus Christ. My mom is a convert and tells us about some of the other churches she went to when she was young. She always says that we need to support people that go to other churches as they are worshipping Him. I feel bad as they did not have the fullness of his Gospel.

How I live my faith

As a 15 year old I get to help with Sacrament every Sunday. I go with my dad and do home teaching to a couple of families in our neighborhood. We take turns preparing the lesson. We never go without a treat for the family. I love the young kids in the family and teaching them. They are so much fun. My sister and her husband divorced and they have a son. My nephew loves being with me and I love teaching him what I know. I want to be a good example for him. Most of my friends are Mormon so it is not hard to do what is right but for those friends that are not Mormon, I try to tell them and show them what it means to be a Mormon.
