Hi I'm Killey

I grew up in Washington State, attended BYU-Idaho, met my husband in Arizona and am now a military wife. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a music teacher in the public schools for the last five years. I met and married my husband last year, and we have recently relocated due to the military. I enjoy singing and playing the piano, and I look forward to starting a family.

Why I am a Mormon

While I was born into the church, my parents were converts and often I learned about the church right along with them. I decided to attend BYU-Idaho, which was a life changing moment for me. During the time that I was there, I had the opportunity to sing in General Conference with the choirs, as well as in many other testimony building performances. Through music, I gained a true testimony of the church. I participated as a counselor at Especially For Youth, a summer church youth program. Because of this experience, I decided to serve as a missionary. Those 18 months serving in a foreign country were among the best of my life and I truly came to love the people that I served. Being married for eternity to my husband has given me the greatest joy that I can imagine. I cannot see myself not being a Mormon. It has given me a strength through hard times of my life as well as joy through others.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed to be able to teach the women in my church ward. I love teaching the simple lessons of the gospel, such as Faith, Family, and blessings of attending the Temple.
