Hi I'm Laurie

I grew up in Utah. I am a mother of 6 wonderful children. I enjoy the great outdoors. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My greatest joy is being a mother. I enjoy spending time with my family. I am the mother of 6 children. I am a single mother working full time as a Loan Servicing Specialist for a bank. I love the outdoors and enjoy being in the beautiful world that God created for us. I like to hike and camp in the mountains. I also like to run, ski, golf and play tennis. I love music and enjoy playing the piano.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member. I know the principals of this Church are true. It gives me great peace. It gives me great strength to know that I know I am a daughter of God. I know I am not alone. He hears and answers my prayers. I believe in my Savior, Jesus Christ, who is the center of our church. I believe that this life is a precious gift and that it’s important to keep the commandments during our mortal existence so that we can return to live with Him someday. Because of Jesus Christ, and His infinite Atonement, I can do all things, whether easy or difficult in this life. I value the simple and clean lifestyle in living the teachings of the gospel. It blesses my life and my family as well.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by striving each day to be my best self by following counsel from a living prophet who leads and guides our Church. I strive to live the principles of the gospel. I have an attitude of gratitude for all that the Lord has given me. I pray and read the scriptures and attend church regularly which brings me greater spirituality. I find joy in helping and serving others. I also love going to the temple weekly and doing service there also. I am currently serving as 2nd Counselor in the Relief Society program. I help plan monthly meetings for all the women in our ward 18 and older. We learn how to be better as a mother and/or wife by activities such as cooking, self improvement, giving service to others, and other skills which strengthen our home and families. It's wonderful to be part of a women's organization where we rejoice in our uniqueness and find peace in our common values. We all help each other. I love being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints!
