Hi I'm Rebecka

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

First off, I love anything artistic or creative. I enjoy writing, reading, drawing and playing or listening to music. I have been playing the piano and singing since I was little and have been drawing as long as I can remember. My favorite authors include Tolkien, C. S. Lewis, J.K. Rowling and Dan Brown, among many others. I am married, for three years now. I don't have kids yet but I have too cats that think they are my kids. My husband and I look forward to soon starting a more permanent life in Oregon with his job and pursuing further education and experience. I am currently pursuing a music major with an art or English minor.

Why I am a Mormon

In a few words, I joined the church for two main reasons: First, I realized the Lord is the same yesterday, today and forever and that it only made sense he would continue to reveal his truth to us. The Book of Mormon is just another testimony that Jesus Christ is our savior and Redeemer and that he is the reason we live, move and have our being. Second, I realized that the Lord loves us so much that he is concerned about everything, including what happens when we die. Our souls are eternal and existed before we were born. We are truly Spirit sons and daughters of our Heavenly Father and he was willing the make the biggest sacrifice, of his only begotten Son, to ensure we could be with him forever. I love the church and what it represents and how it operates and I'm proud to call myself a Mormon.

How I live my faith

While I am growing every day, the biggest ways I live my faith now is to attend church, work hard and love my fellow man. To me, everyone is special and important, no matter if I agree with what they do or believe. I strive to treat everyone with dignity and respect and I have many friends of other faiths. Also, I make it my goal to use my talents to progress and to help the Lord's work. I am often called upon to lend my musical skills in church and I try to use my artistic creativity to bless the lives of others whenever I can.
