Hi I'm Jessica

I love to snowboard, I play soccer, I love to read, I'm a sister and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being around people, they give me a ton of energy, especially my friends. I'm a junior in high school so friends are important to me but so is my family and grades. I'm preparing to go to college soon which is a scary experience in my mind. I love music, the world would not be complete without it, it really has a big influence in my life. I am blessed to live in a beautiful state where the mountains aren't far away and that way I get to go snowboarding in the winter. My two little siblings are some of my closest friends, even though we do argue. History is my favorite subject in school, I love to learn what happened when and how things were resolved or weren't resolved at all. I'm not very creative but I love to decorate cakes and cupcakes, it's a fun way for me to express myself. Soccer is a part of my life and I love to play it, I play defense and I like to be aggressive. But most of all I love my friends and family and this church.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised in the church but when I turned 8 I was able to choose if I wanted to be baptized or not. I chose to be baptized because I knew it was the right thing to do and I loved the feeling I received every Sunday. I didn't want it to go away. I feel comfort when I read the scriptures, when I am at church and when I am with my family and we are doing right. That comforting feeling has helped me through struggles during my high school years. I really love this church and I am thankful for all the blessings it has given me.

How I live my faith

I am the president of girls in my ward or congregation from ages 16-18. This means me and other people plan activities that these girls and I will do each week for youth group to become stronger in the gospel. We have a lot of fun. I am also in our church's choir, I love to sing and I think music is a great way to share what you feel. The words have powerful meanings. At school I also try my best to live my faith by going to early morning seminary, a class I take before school to learn more about the church and the gospel.
