Hi I'm Hannah

I'm a piano teacher, nanny, college student, future pediatric nurse and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am going to college right now to become a Registered Nurse. I want to help others, especially those that are without proper medical care, and once I get my license I will go out into the world and help them. I love serving others. I have yet to find a greater joy than the joy that comes from lessening someone's burdens and knowing that you've been an instrument in the Lord's hand. I love music and as a result love to sing and play the piano. I have been singing since I was three and have been playing the piano for about 12 years now. I teach piano lessons and thoroughly enjoy doing so. It is wonderful to work with children and see them progress in their newly discovered talent. I also nanny, am a primary teacher and spend as much time as I can with my darling niece and nephew. When working with or simply playing with children, I enter into their own little, beautiful world. It is so much fun to do so because it allows me to just be a kid and see the beauty of life instead of the ugliness that inevitably comes with it. I like to go running and absolutely love swing dancing. My older brothers introduced me to swing dancing and I always have a blast dancing with them on the days when the whole family gets together. I have three brothers (one's a foster brother) and a sister. I am the youngest and look up to all four of my siblings and my loving parents.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have felt the love of a Heavenly Father and the gospel that He has given in order for me to be happy while I am here on earth. I have knelt and sent numerous prayers heaven-ward and I have always received an answer or the comfort and knowledge that everything will be alright. I have seen miracles occur in every day life, and have read and prayed to know if the Book of Mormon is true. As I read and prayed, my mind was enlightened and I knew beyond a shadow of a doubt that the Book of Mormon was true and of God, which in turn meant that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was the true church of God. There have been times where trials and sorrows come and dim the light of my testimony, but then I remember why I am a Mormon and when I recall the reasons, I am given the strength to exceed my challenges. I feel Heavenly Father's love for me and I know that He is watching over and protecting me. I know that He sent His son Jesus Christ to earth to be an example and provide a way to right man kind's wrongs. This church is one of happiness and I can truly say that I am happy to be a member of it, and I know that it is because it is God's true church and He wants us to be happy.

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to do what it is that God wants me to do every day. I pray and communicate with Him often so that I can know what to do or who to help. I constantly am trying to learn more about His gospel and grow closer to Him. By serving others, attending church meetings, strive to do what's right, and teaching others about the church, I live my faith. This doesn't meant that I don't mess up, because I am human after all, but it does mean that when I mess up I do all I can to clean up the mess and I ask for forgiveness from God. He will readily forgive me when I am sincere and I then continue on with a lesson learned and a desire to do better.
