Hi I'm Isaac

I am curious and creative, and like to tinker. I am a husband, a son, a brother, a friend....and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love trying new things and being creative. Metal working and welding are passions of mine, that I have been fortunate to use in my employment, as well as my hobbies. I love the outdoors, especially mountain biking, snow boarding, boating, and camping. I am blessed to work with my family members, as well as other great coworkers on a daily basis in our business of repairing and servicing yachts and fishing boats. I am blessed with a wonderful wife, who is my best friend. I love spending time with her, whether it's grocery shopping or going on a hike. We share many things in common, the most important of which is the gospel and our love for our Savior Jesus Christ. We look forward to raising our family in the gospel.

Why I am a Mormon

I grew up in the church for the most part, though being in a part member family, we sometimes weren't always active. However, even though my father is not a member of the church, I love him dearly, consider him one of my good friends, and look to him as an example in many things. At some point it became important for me to know if the gospel is true. I prayed about this and in some ways cannot identify receiving a direct answer. However, as I continued to live the teachings I had been brought up with, it became clear to me that the gospel is the best way to live. I did have, and continue to have many experiences feeling the Holy Ghost, witnessing of my Savior and Heavenly Father's love for me. It has been impressed on my mind and heart that the gospel is true, and is the source of lasting happiness and peace. I am so grateful for my Savior Jesus Christ and His atoning sacrifice for me. I am grateful for the restored keys of the priesthood, and a living prophet and apostles who receive revelation on our behalf. I love the gospel, and am so grateful for it's influence in my life. It brings me so much hope in a troubled world!

How I live my faith

I love how the gospel can become and integral part of daily life. Praying and reading the scriptures on a daily basis is the source of wonderful spiritual experiences. Striving to live the teachings of Jesus Christ, such as being kind to my fellow man and serving others, has been a source of great joy for me. It is a lot of fun to do things for others when they least expect it. I have been blessed with a variety of experiences serving in different capacities in the church. These have ranged from being the leader of groups to serving in clerical positions. I have found that there are blessings to be had no matter where one serves in the church. Many of these blessings come in the form of skills and experience that can be used in the workplace and family life. One of the great things in my opinion about holding a calling in the church is that more often than not, the calling to serve requires getting out of my area of comfort and familiarity. By accepting various callings, I have grown and had experiences that I may not have otherwise. And these experience have been the source of wonderful joy and fulfillment, and my love for my Heavenly Father and Jesus Christ has grown.
