Hi I'm Gerald.

I was born just 20 miles south-east of Mt. Rainier. I have served my country and have served my Lord. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a father of 3 sons and 2 daughters. During World War II, I was a Navy Hospital Corpsman, attached to the Marine Corps on the island of Guam. In my retirement years, I have enjoyed fine foods, collected horse figurines, playing the piano, landscaping, and flower/vegetable gardening.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I was impressed by the sincerity of two young missionaries who had genuine concern for me. Despite turning them away 3 prior times, they returned. It was the last time in which I was severely ill in the hospital in which I received their Priesthood Blessing to be healed. I knew then of the truth of their ministry.

How I live my faith

I have had several responsibilities in the Church including advising the young men. In recent years, I have regularly visited the elderly, the sick, and those whose spirits needed uplifted.

Do Mormons worship Joseph Smith?

No. Mormons do not worship Joseph Smith. Mormons worship Jesus Christ as Savior and the Creator of the World and His Father, our Eternal God. Show more Show less
