Hi I'm Pierre

I teach engineering technology in a community college in Canada and I'm very proud to be a Mormon.

About Me

My wife and I have been married for 34 years and we have 3 boys and one girl. We have been Latter Day Saints for 32 years. We have a partnership that we call team work. She mostly takes care of the things inside the home and I mostly take care of the things outside the home and love takes care of the rest.

Why I am a Mormon

As opposed to many people, I was not searching for anything concerning religion. In fact, even though I believed in God and prayer I did not care for any organized religion. That is until I felt something special when I met the missionaries of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints and they showed me the promise at the end of The Book of Mormon where the prophet Moroni states that if we ask God the Eternal Father in the name of Christ we shall know for ourselves if that book is true. I put the promise to the test and after fervent prayer it was indeed revealed to me by the power of the Holy Ghost that it is true and that Joseph Smith was a prophet and spokesman for Christ much like the Apostle Peter was in the meridian of time and that he restored the Church of Christ to its original state with prophets and apostles as it was 2000 years ago. The Book of Mormon testifies that there is no name under heaven other than Jesus Christ whereby a man may be saved. I know that nothing can happen to God's children without His permission and that He does not permit anything to happen to them that is not in their best interest. A testimony of these things has brought great peace and happiness into our lives.

How I live my faith

Now that I understand the Plan of Salvation that Jesus Christ has for all His children, I make a genuine effort to live as a true Christian every day of my life. That is, I try my best to love everyone unconditionally, to forgive generously and to render good for evil. I look for opportunities to help those in need like visiting the sick and afflicted and helping the poor and needy. Knowing that our Heavenly Father loves all His children gives me great peace and happiness regardless of the trials and difficulties one needs to go through in this life in order to become a better person. And I have the hope of living with Him eternally after this life.
