Hi I'm Bill

I am an American, I am a Christian and I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in America, mostly in the Upper Midwest and the Northeast. I have a strong patriotism and love of this country and the freedoms we enjoy. I appreciate those who have served in our military both in war and in peace to preserve our freedom. I served four years in the US Air Force. My oldest son is currently serving full-time in the US Air National Guard, and I am proud of the service he renders to our country. I am a Father and Grandfather, as well a brother to my two sisters, and of course, the son of my parents who have passed away. My family is very important to me, and I try to maintain contact with them and to have a positive relationship with each of them. I work as an Information Technology Analyst for a government agency. I am grateful that I have work and can support myself and my family as well as use part of what I earn to help others.

Why I am a Mormon

I was raised by good parents that taught me good rules for life, like honesty, respect, politeness, love and charity. We did not regularly attend church; when we did it was Protestant churches. My wife had joined the Church several years before we met and married. After we had been married for 17 years I took the missionary discussions and starting attending Church and read the Book of Mormon. After I had read the book of Mormon I started praying to know if it was true. I received a witness that The Book of Mormon is true. I was soon baptized and have been an active member of the Church for the last 23 years. I know that Jesus Christ atoned for my sins and the sins of the world, and I am grateful for that atonement. I feel that my membership in the Church has been a strong positive influence in who I am and my relationships with other people.

How I live my faith

I attend my Church meetings every Sunday if I can, and haven’t missed very many Sundays since I started investigating the Church. I serve as well as I can in whatever I am asked to do. I am currently the Ward Clerk in my ward and have served in a variety of callings. I sing in the ward choir. I faithfully pay my tithes and try to be generous in my offerings. I make an effort to know all the people that attend our ward, and to be friendly with them and encourage them. In Church and out, I strive to be a positive example and a good representative of what it means to be a Christian.
