Hi I'm Tyler

I was born in Burke, Virginia. I like to challenge myself and understand that if we don't "fall" in life we will never grow.

About Me

Currently I am a junior in high school, working, and participating in extracurricular activities such as basketball and tennis. I am competitive, and love to win. I have created a new goal that I will try and give my all to my team whenever I am in the game. I enjoy spending time with my family. I bond with my brothers and dad by watching ports on weekends. Spending time with my friends is a must. I do not like to be ordinary instead I like to be known, and have a reputation that when people hear or talk about me it's all positive, uplifting, and inspiring. At times I do enjoy to get lots of attention because I love to talk but I can be serious when I have to. Since the day I turned 16 I have always found joy in going on dates ( group dates ) because I get to meet many new girls and begin to make a list of what I want my future spouse to be like, act, and see how they support my values.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have never felt any other type of peace like the one I feel in church and at home. I have experienced much success in work, and with my social life by talking to lots of people and not being afraid. I feel so much joy when I do well in work, or when I'm competing in a sport and I win. This joy would last all night and make it hard for me to sleep. The only problem with this was once I woke up that same joy would not be to the same degree as it was the day before. When I read my scriptures, and pray, and do what my Father in Heaven would want me to do, I feel a different type of joy. Joy that is always at the same degree as the one before. Many people claim to have the truth or are apart of the most true of all the churches, but I know that I am apart of the only true church on the earth today. I know that many churches preach, and teach really good things and have great people, but they don't have the full truth. They don't have everything they need in order to return to our Father in Heaven, namely the Priesthood or the ability to act in God's name. This Priesthood is the same Priesthood that Christ had on the earth during his earthy ministry. This power performs many saving ordinances such as baptism, and giving the gift of the Holy Ghost to others. There is only one way you can come to know what is true. You have to pray with Faith in Christ and with a sincere heart and I know you will receive an answer,an answer that will change your life forever.

How I live my faith

I have always loved being happy. In Junior High School I was not one of the most positive kids. It was a whole new experience for me and I was always stressed. I soon grew over that and became a lot happier. When I look back I see all the time I put into stressing about a class, or a test was just a waste of time. That's when I began to wonder why we're here on the earth? To be happy, to learn, and to grow. From then on I surrounded myself with people who support my beliefs especially concerning the belief in our loving Savior, Jesus Christ. In the scriptures it talks about Christ often, and describes him as someone who is loving and cares for people. I tried to do the same and I realized as I became more friendly and less selfish (like Christ) I became more happy, which is our purpose of becoming like Him.
