Hi I'm Aaron

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the Northwest, continue to live here and I love it!

About Me

I have been happily married for over 30 years, have a large family and love my life. I work in the aerospace industry as do many of the people who live in our area. I love the mountains, the ocean and the green that comes as a result of our sometimes rainy weather. I love to hike and use photography to capture the beauty of our world. My family is everything and being a husband, dad and grandpa are really my favorite pastimes.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a Mormon enhances everything I love. Being a Mormon gives me the greatest opportunity to become a disciple of Jesus Christ. Though we are called "Mormons" by many people because of our belief in the Book of Mormon, another testimony of Jesus Christ, the church we belong to is "The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints". Being a Mormon, a member of Christ’s Church, gives me an understanding of the purpose of life and what I can do to gain the most from it. There is a sure path to happiness and being a Mormon has placed me on that path. Over the years I have found the answers to life's most searching questions in only one place. Where did I or the life that is within me come from? Why am I here on earth and what is the purpose of creation? Is there life after death and what is our potential there? Being a Mormon has given me solid answers to all of these questions and has given me hope that I can live to become what our Heavenly Father wants me to become. I love Him, I love his son Jesus Christ and I love the life that He has given me. As with all journeys it is important to have a map and to follow directions, our Heavenly Father has given us a map for life's journey and the laws and rules that will insure our safe arrival to it's intended destination, that is the reason I am a Mormon.

How I live my faith

Our major purpose in life is to do good and I try to do my best. After graduating High School I served a two year mission for our church in the area of Missouri and Illinois. Since beginning our family I have been asked to work with our youth many times. This work has involved teaching Sunday School classes, serving as a leader in our youth program and in the Boy Scout program, giving community service and much more. I was called to preside over our congregation for five years which gave me the opportunity to serve and get to know and love the many families that make up our local congregation. I have worked in a supportive role helping the surrounding congregations develop their youth programs and family ministry. I love the work because I love people. Whether I have been called to work in a leadership capacity or one on one, the joy of service is the same. In working to serve and give to those around me my own life is enriched equally. Being a member of The Church of Jesus Christ has placed me where I can be involved in doing the things Jesus did when He served His mortal ministry, teaching, serving, strengthening and leading. It is a joy to follow Him.
