Hi I'm Amelia

I'm a college student, a stained glass artist, a math teacher-in-training. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

My name is Amelia. I am the fourth of five daughters, born and raised in Mesa, Arizona. I am a tutor and a college student studying to become a high school math teacher. I love math, music, and movies. I enjoy playing the piano, tutoring my friends in math, and reading. I also love to create stained glass panels, knit, crochet, and cross stitch when I have the time. I look forward with excitement to someday becoming a wife and a mother, as well as a teacher.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raised a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. As a child, my parents and church leaders taught me to live the Gospel. When I was 8 years old, I chose to be baptized into our church. Since then, I have been working to gain my own testimony of the Gospel of Jesus Christ. I have come to know that The Church is true, that Jesus Christ is my Savior, and the scriptures are true. I know that we are all children of God and that our Heavenly Father knows and loves us perfectly. He created this world for us so that we could come to learn and grow. He has given us families, prophets, and the scriptures to guide us in this pursuit. I know that because of Christ's Atonement, I am able to repent when I make a mistake. I know I will be able to return to my Heavenly Father because of this. I have a testimony of The Book of Mormon and the Prophet Joseph Smith.

How I live my faith

I have recently recieved a call to serve a mission in Guatemala. For 18 months, I will share my beliefs and my testimony of the Gospel with the people I meet. I will also have to opportunity to provide acts of service to those in need. More generally, I strive to live my faith daily by studying and practicing the teachings of Jesus Christ. Each day I make time in my busy schedule to study His words in The Bible and The Book of Mormon. As I study, I come to know how to better live my life. Each time that I learn something new from the scriptures I try to put it into practice.
