Hi I'm Ben

I grew up in Arizona in a family that is part of the church. I love Christ and see him in my life everyday I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a college student. I have recently returned from serving a mission for the church and I was able to learn many things there but one of the most important things that I learned was that Christ loves me and every single person on the Earth, that includes you. I strive to do what is right it is not always easy but I know that it is worth it. I love sports and a few of my hobbies are leather working, learning how things work so that I understand the world around me. I like to always feel like I am making a difference somehow in the world that I live in.

Why I am a Mormon

I have been a Mormon since I was little but I am a Mormon now because I know that it is what Christ would have me do. I am a Mormon because I have felt the love of my Savior. I am a Mormon because I have learned that the Book of Mormon is true and that it testifies of Christ. I came to this knowledge after long prayer and a bit of waiting for his answer. My answer didn't come in the time that I asked for it. It came while I was at church actually listening to a lesson in church from my brother, and as my brother shared his feelings about the Church I felt an undeniable witness from God that what I had been asking was in fact true. I treasure that knowledge and it is something that I will never be able to deny.

How I live my faith

I live my faith at this time in my life by living what I have been taught by my parents and what I have learned. Something that is very important to me about living my faith is that as I have mentioned before I server a mission for the church which was two years; what is a real concern to me is that the things that I taught to those people that I met during those two years that I live it so that I am always worth of the trust that those wonderful people have entrusted in me. I live my faith by trying to always be worthy of the trust of Christ and those I love.

Why do Mormons perform baptisms for the dead?

Mormons perform baptisms for the dead because it is something that the Lord has made known as something that he would have his servants in the world do. One reason that the Lord would have us do baptisms for the dead is that Christ loves every single person who has come to this Earth and would give every person the same opportunity to accept his sacrifice for us so that we can return to live with Him and God again. As the Bible says no man can see God or his kingdom unless he has been baptized (John 3:5). Through baptisms for the dead Christ can provide this same opportunity to even the people who never had the opportunity to hear of him while they were here on the Earth. I know that it is what Christ would have us do to be able to help these people accept him and one day be able to live with Him and God again. Show more Show less
