Hi I'm Austin

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a student at UVU studying Digital Media (Film Major). My goal is to become a Motion Picture Director working in Hollywood. Growing up I actively participated in school activities such as; Lacrosse, Football, Theater, and Debate. I am the oldest of four children and I have two supportive parents who inspire me to become all that I can be.

Why I am a Mormon

My dad's side of the family has been members of the church for a long time. My Mom joined the church when she was sixteen. I grew up in the church. My parents took me to church and as a family applying the basic principles of the gospel brought a ton of blessing into our home. I remember growing up feeling loved and understanding why I am here and where I am going. As I grew up I had to know for myself if the things I have been taught where true. I decided to read the Book of Mormon and to ask god if it was true and if The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was his restored church. I prayed and didn't receive and answer right away. Then an overwhelming feeling of peace and a voice whispered to me that Christ church was indeed restored to the earth again and that I was apart of it. As I have gotten older I have grown I have felt the changing power of Christ atonement. I have seen many miracles where I know with out a doubt that there is a god and he had sent his son Jesus Christ to make the way possible that we may all return and live with them again. Last that Jesus Christ is leading his church through a living prophet on the earth again.

How I live my faith

How I live by faith is first being able to communicate with God through prayer on a regular basis. Knowing that he does know what is best for me I can have faith in him when I do have receive an answer on what I need to do in my life. I am in college at this time and when there are so many big decisions that I need to make. It is wonderful knowing that I have some one that knows perfectly what I need to do to be happy and if I do make a mistake that Jesus Christ has made a way for me to over come it. By living by faith it gives me confidence in a world of change. Knowing that what ever happens I know all will be all right and that I will be able to achieve the goals that I have for myself.

What is being a Mormon like?

Austin
I love being a Mormon. I have had many friends that are and are not Mormon. I know that being a member has brought me so much joy and it has saved me from falling into some of life's pitfalls. Mormons are just like everyone else. As a mormon you just commit yourself to following Jesus Christ and following the plan that he has set for us. What I love about the gospel is allows you to be in the world and gives you the tools to be successful but it allows you not to get sucked in to all the bad things that destroys people and families. In enables you to become the greatest person you can be. Show more Show less
