Hi I'm Maddie

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I have been a member of the church my entire life. I was born in Murray Utah, and raised throughout Arizona. I am currently working a fulltime job at a school, and I am going to school for orchestra. I plan on majoring on my violin. I love anything artsy. My hobbies are anything musical, and spending time with the people I love. I hope to be serving a mission a year from now!

Why I am a Mormon

I do not know a lot of things in this life, but there is one thing I will always be sure of, and that is that this is the only true church. Being a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints has strengthened me as a person. This church is the reason I make good choices, it is the reason I serve, the reason I love people, the reason I strive to help others. This church, more than any others I've studied, helps it's member want to be better people. Since i've gained an unflinching testimony of this gospel, I have had a desire to better others around me. I am so grateful to have such powerful examples in my life. While reading the book of Mormon, you find such powerful testimonies of wrong and right choices. I am blessed to have the example of Joseph Smith, a perfect boy who sacrificed everything in his life to better the people around him. I am grateful for my beautiful Savior, who should be significant in all of our lives. I am grateful for these perfect men to look up to, and to aspire to be like. The Book of Mormon is a guide to these latter days. And we must always read it if we desire to be a better people. The "Mormon" church is not a demeaning Church. It is never a church to preach hate, or to make others feel like they aren't good enough. It is a church of bringing people up, and giving them a desire to press on, and keep trying.

How I live my faith

An important concept that us, Latter Day Saints teach, is that others learn most importantly through our examples. If we have a testimony of Christ, we must live AS CHRIST DID. We must have a genuine desire to become like him, and live with him again. I live my faith by being like Christ. I live my faith by the essential service we must all give. I live my faith by continual obedience to His council. I Live my Faith because I love my Heavenly Father more than I could ever express. The love I have for my Father is shown in my obedience.
