Hi I'm Brooke

I am a second grade teacher. I love my family and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

Currently, I am a second grade teacher and finishing up my schooling. I am very recently married and excited for the wonderful blessing this has been in my life. I can be shy and am usually quiet around others unless they are my second graders. I love clouds and running in the rain. I have a beautiful family that continues to grow and I love every day that I am able to spend with them.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because it makes me happy. The simple truths of love and family are found in the gospel of Christ. Through reading the Book of Mormon and other scripture, I feel the power of the love that Heavenly Father has for me and each of His children. I feel the peace and safety that comes from knowing I have a Savior in Jesus Christ. Knowing these things gives me spiritual strength in a world that so often tries to tear us down. It gives me perspective and love for all other people as they are children of Heavenly Father. I feel hope and confidence in the Lord and in the blessing of being with my family for eternity. I am a Mormon because the standards taught are things that help me realize the divine nature that each of us has as children of God.

How I live my faith

In my ward, I have the opportunity to participate by playing piano and helping plan activities for the women in the ward. I am also a visiting teacher which gives me the chance to visit with specific sisters in the ward. These callings have been such a blessing because even though I am busy spending time with family and teaching, the time that I spend giving time serving with the church helps support and bring strength into our home and family. It is a blessing to serve in the church and helps build friendship as well as give opportunities for us to strengthen each other. I love being able to serve and the blessings that come when I do are so much greater than any small sacrifice made by me.
