Hi I'm Dave Christensen

Born in SoCal and married my dream come true 19+ yrs. & have 5 crazy-amazing kids. I love riding my KTM & VTX… I’m a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Southern California. I went to Trujillo, Peru on an amazing mission, graduated from BYU, and was married in the Salt Lake Temple to my dream come true. We’ve now been married for over 19 years and have 5 crazy and amazing kids. We’ve moved 16+ times and lived in LA, Puerto Rico, San Diego, Texas, Wisconsin, Utah, and now in Peoria, Arizona. We love the Sonoran Mountain area. I’ve coached several sports teams and love Scouting, Hunting, Surfing, Football, Skiing, Riding my KTM 530 and Honda VTX, and I am grateful to be a true follower of Jesus Christ. I’m a Christian, Husband, Dad, Coach, Leader, and Mormon... ;-]

Why I am a Mormon

Although I had many introductions to my creator early on and the miracles brought upon me by His Holy Spirit, my conversion did not come until my early 20’s. After I had studied the many beautiful faiths of this word, how they started, by whom, what they believed and why, I came to love and appreciate the similarities and “Eternal Truths” many of them shared. In order to ultimately return to live with my Creator, how could I ever overcome the differences between us so that my being could even tolerate his presence? How could I overcome Sin and Death to become perfected and immortal as He is? Without the atonement of Jesus Christ, I found no other way. But how can so many Christian faiths exist if Jesus Christ was the only way to eternally enjoy the Oneness with Him and our Father in Heaven? I found the answers in “The Book of Mormon, another Witness to Jesus Christ.” Together with the Holy Bible, this additional witness completed the Fullness of the Gospel of Jesus Christ, and nothing I had read to date was more powerful to me than his personal appearance and witnessing to my ancestors here in Native America. Besides the insurmountable evidence and written witnesses of this divine revelation from God, it all pales in comparison to the powerful testimony I personally received from His Holy Spirit, even the Holy Ghost. No amount of power, love, and profound joy could have ever persuaded my rebellious spirit as the humbling penetration to the depths of my hungered soul, then these undeniable manifestations.

How I live my faith

Every day, I start anew, resolved to try my best to keep the commandments and honor the covenants I have made. Far from perfect, I’m just a “bruthu trying to make it” in this ever so crazy world. I am grateful to serve in the church and in the community. I especially love the youth, having been a troubled one myself, it’s my great duty and honor to serve these amazing young adults in this upcoming generation.
