Hi I'm Breann

I am a teacher, wife, and mother. I am a Mormon.

About Me

I am 32 and have been married for 4 years. My husband and I started trying for our family pretty much right away. We were unaware that it would become a struggle and the loss we would suffer. When we finally found out we were pregnant I never thought that I would miscarry it was a devastating blow. I am grateful that I had a wonderful husband and my Savior to lean on. A few months later we found out we were expecting again. I wasn't filled with excitement, but anxiety and dread that I could lose this little one too. We didn't lose that baby and now we have a healthy and happy 14 month old. I had been a teacher for 7 years and now I get to stay home with my son. It was an interesting transition for me because I had been in school and working most of my adult life. I love it, but is full of a whole new set of challenges. Being home everyday and setting that example for my son fills me a joy that I didn't know I could have. I serve in the young women's program and I enjoy every moment of teaching and getting to know the sweet young women I live near. It helps me to fulfill that need to still want to teach.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and raised by my wonderful parents in the church. I continue to be an active member because I have learned what my parents knew to be true. I learned that Jesus Christ is my personal Lord and Savior. As I read the pages of the Book of Mormon I know and feel the great love the Savior and my Heavenly Father have for me and for all of their Children. Each year my testimony of the truths I have learned grows and becomes stronger. I have had very personal and sacred expereinces in my life that I have used to grow closer to my Savior, and I have needed the love of my savior to get through them. I know that this Chruch is True and I know this because the Holy Ghost has confirmed to me that they are true.

How I live my faith

I live my life the way most people do, but I have certain beliefs that make me a little different than everyone else. I give of my time to Christ and his Church. My Sundays are spent at church and serving those around me. I search for the joy in life and I am as positive about it as possible. We all have struggles but I search for the glory and beauty in the struggles. Life is a gift that we can share with others around us. We find the beauty in life through Christ and through showing love to those around us.

Do Mormons regard the Bible as Holy Scripture and the word of God?

Breann
Yes Mormons regard the Bible as Hold Scripture and the word of God. I have a knowledge and testimony that the teaching in the Bible are true. I have a special love for the New Testament. I love to learn of Christ and his teachings as I search through the New Testament. As I read the Bible it help strengthen my testimony of the Book of Mormon. The books would not be complete without each other. I need both to really feel the love the Savior and my Heavenly Father have for me. Show more Show less
