Hi I'm Brad Harris

I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am happily married to Sandy. We have six children (three boys and three girls) and nine grandchildren (all girls). I teach at Brigham Young University (BYU). I direct the nonprofit management minor at BYU. At age nineteen I served a full-time mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints in Colorado and Kansas. The mission experience helped me gain a greater appreciation for service. I gained a stronger testimony of the truthfulness of the Jesus Christ, the Bible, and the Book of Mormon.

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. It is the restored church of Jesus Christ on earth. The teachings of the early Christians as taught in the New Testament have been restored on the earth. The original Church of Jesus Christ administered by Peter and the apostles fell apart. The apostles were persecuted and killed. The earth fell into a great apostasy. The great reformers; Luther, Wycliffe, Wesley and others in Europe tried to bring back the original Church of Jesus Christ. They were persecuted and died as martyrs. The reformation paved the path for the restoration of the Church of Jesus Christ. The United States of America was formed with religious freedom as part of its constitution. In this environment of religious freedom, God instituted the complete restoration. Prophets and apostles have been restored to the earth. The priesthood power held by Peter has been restored on the earth. We have a living prophet on the earth today to guide us through these troubled times.

How I live my faith

The Ten Commandments are the foundation of why I live my faith. I know that when I keep the commandments I am happy. I am most miserable when I am selfish. When I try to be Christlike is when I am happiest.
