Hi I'm Rebecca

Believe it or not, I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a mom, a wife, a daughter, a sister and a friend. I'm also a full time student at Arizona State University. I love spending time with my husband and kids, playing with my smartphone, reading fun fictional books, watching movies and listening to music. I'm just as likely to be found drinking a Mountain Dew and reading a *Twilight* novel as I am to be found fasting and reading my scriptures. I'm not perfect, but I'm doing my best to follow the footsteps that my Elder Brother Jesus Christ has set forth for me. I have a goal to attend every open and functioning temple in the world before I die - currently, I have been to 9. I have quite a few to go!

Why I am a Mormon

I am a member of this church because of the eternal brightness of hope that it gives me. I love knowing that my Heavenly Father doesn't just love me, but that He knows MY name. He sent His Son to suffer all manner of afflictions in mortal form so that, as a Savior, He would know how to help me. And do I ever need it! I am a member because of the sense of peace that I have knowing that, even though I may not have all the answers just yet, the answers are attainable and they are true. I am a member because of the challenge in Moroni 10:5 - "And by the power of the holy ghost, you may know the truth of ALL things" (emphasis added). ALL is a lot. ALL covers everything. I know that I can come to understand all things through the power of the gift of the holy ghost. I am a member of the church because I am grateful for a living Prophet and for continued revelation from my Father in Heaven. I am a member because of the sealing ordinances of the temple and the joy and peace that I have knowing that my family, through our faithfulness and the redemption of Christ, can be saved and held together for all eternity, not just "until death do we part."

How I live my faith

I live my faith by teaching my children at home and also by acting as a teacher for 6 - 8 year olds at church. These sweet little children teach me so much through their insightful questions and thoughts. I try to attend services at the temple as often as possible. I am trying to pray every morning and every night and be more diligent in my scripture study.
