Hi I'm Cheree Salter

I am a wife, mother to two adventurous boys, lifestyle blogger, hair + style enthusiast, amateur singer, and I'm a mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Utah. I was born into an LDS family, and a big one. I have six siblings. Three brothers + three sisters. I'm number five of the bunch. I call myself the oldest of the second litter. Growing up our home was loud, obnoxious, fun, full of sibling rivalry, competition, lots of sweets + home cooked meals, but most importantly, the gospel was taught. My home was always a safe haven. Christ centered and filled with the spirit. I am now striving to make my home a sanctuary for me and my family. I became a mother on January 9, 2014 and understood for the first time the power of a mother's love. I am blessed to have a husband who provides for us so that I may be home with our sons. I always knew I would love being a mom, but I didn't expect to feel so humbled and overwhelmed by this new role. I'm not perfect, but I am working every day to be a better person. I hope to teach + learn + grow in the gospel as I raise my children. I enjoy being with my family more than anything. I love to go on picnics, dress up, style hair, go swimming, jet skiing, baking + making sweets, everything Disney, music, dancing, roller coasters + basically anything that puts a smile on my face. I'm a WSU graduate + couldn't be prouder of the person I am becoming.

Why I am a Mormon

Though I was born into a strong Latter-Day Saint family who taught me well, I have personally chosen to continue to follow the Gospel. I know that when I live the principles found in the scriptures and taught by our prophets, I am the most happy. I know that by being married and sealed in the temple I can be with the people I love most for all eternity. That's why I continue to follow the Savior, and His church. I have gained a testimony over the years that is special and personal. I know without a doubt that God lives and loves us. He loves us so much that He sent his only son, Jesus Christ, to suffer for our sins so that we may return home to Him someday. I know that his Gospel was restored upon the Earth through the Prophet Joseph Smith. He truly saw the Father and the Son in that Sacred Grove. He translated the Book of Mormon, which is another testament of the Savior, Jesus Christ. I have read it many times through and I get the same feeling of warmth in my heart as I pray to ask of its truthfulness. I know that if we follow the Commandments of God, we will find happiness in this life and the life to come. I humbly testify of these truths, in the name of Jesus Chris, Amen.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through obedience + example. Since I can remember, I've been to church every sunday. Minus the sick days and sleepless nights of fresh motherhood during flu season. I have promised to keep the commandments + the covenants that I have made with my Heavenly Father. I look forward to the counsel we receive from our living prophets and apostles. They help guide me in the things I should do. I trust in the Lord and do my best to obey the words of His Servants. As I live, I learn more and more the importance of being kind to others. I hope that I can be an example of Christ through my humility and kindness. I'm an introvert and it is often difficult for me to reach out to others, but I hope that through small friendships and kind words I can help others know they are loved by God. I may not be able to do big things, but He can strengthen me to serve and touch the lives of those around me.
