Hi I'm Josh LaMarr

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in the church, I served a mission in Togo and Benin West Africa. I am a husband and father.

About Me

I am 25 years old, married and have a 1 year old daughter. I am working and going to school full time. I love spending time with my family, fly fishing, photography and hiking. I served a mission for the church in West Africa. I am studying to become a nurse.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was 16 years old I enrolled into a baptist high school. Every day we would have an hour long discussion on the Bible and religion. I was often asked questions like "is that what you really believe?" or "how does your church stand on this issue?". Up until that moment in my life I had never been asked those questions, and my classmates and teachers had inspired me to ask those questions of myself. When I began to research and answer their questions regarding the religion I had lived my entire life I began to receive a testimony for myself. It was when I started to ask myself the questions that my classmates were asking of me that I felt the Holy Ghost testifying to me. The school I attended gave me an opportunity to find out for myself what I really believed. I became familiar with every principle of the gospel and was blessed with a confirmation of my beliefs by the Holy Spirit.

How I live my faith

I currently am serving in the scouts program where I organize and run a weekly activity with the 11 yr old scouts. I am also responsible for teaching young husbands and fathers a lesson on gospel principles every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month.
