Hi I'm Shad

I'm married to the love of my life. I'm a father of three. I'm a marketing professional and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am a father of three beautiful children and love spending time with them. I find myself coaching their sport's teams to spend more time together. We enjoy camping, backpacking, bike riding, and picnics at the park together. I graduated with a degree in Psychology and will complete my MBA in November 2011. As a marketing professional, I enjoy the strategy and creativity involved along with execution and seeing the success of hard work.

Why I am a Mormon

I love the word of God and choose to follow His teachings. Having learned the truth for myself and seen it change the lives of others through missionary service in Guatemala, I have grown to love the teachings of the Savior and felt the confirmation of the truthfulness of them through the Holy Spirit. Because I have chosen to be a member of the church, I have seen the blessings in my life. I want to give my children an opportunity to feel the peace and love that Heavenly Father has for each of His children. I know that I am member of His church and that He loves me. One of the greatest blessings that I am so grateful for is the chance to live with my family even after death. Death can be a painful process and it is hard to deal with. Knowing that we have the opportunity in this life to be married in the Lord's temple for time and all eternity helps calm a pained heart with the loss of a loved one. I can't imagine spending dozens of years building a loving relationship with a righteous woman and raising children together and have it all taken away because of death. God loves us too much to not allow life to continue after death and give us a chance to become like Him. Through the sacrifice and atonement of our Savior, Jesus Christ, we have what we need to overcome death and sin. What a wonderful blessing!

How I live my faith

I strive to live my life in accordance with the teachings of the gospel and be an example to those around so that they can see the difference in my life and have a desire to feel that way in their own. I serve faithfully in my callings to demonstrate my love for the Savior. My family is blessed for our selfless service we provide to members of our ward and neighborhood and are provided by others. We have felt the blessings of service from those around us. My daughter has to have several surgeries on her kidneys when she was young, eventually having 2/3 of a kidney removed due to lack of function. Several people reached out to lend a helping hand. We received strength physically, mentally, financially, and spiritually because of the selfless acts of many around us. I try to think often about the character of Christ and what he would do. When he was hanging on the cross, he cared more about the well-being of his mother and offering a prayer asking Heavenly Father to forgive the soldiers than for his own needs. I hope that I can show my love for the Savior and live my faith by being just like he was.
