Hi I'm Grant

I was born in Dallas. Served a LDS mission in Santiago, Chile. I work for Frito-Lay. I love the outdoors, and I'm a Mormon!

About Me

I am the fourth, and last child of my family. I was born in Dallas, and lived most of my childhood there with my family. I was very involved in Boy Scouts while growing up, and am an Eagle Scout. I played basketball and still enjoy playing, as well as tennis. I attended Brigham Young University after serving my mission (in Santiago, Chile) where I taught at the Missionary Training Center for three years. I met my beautiful wife at BYU, we were married in the San Diego LDS Temple. I work for Frito Lay, as a senior sales manager. I love the outdoors, going fishing, and enjoy getting away to the mountains in Wyoming. I have the best wife ever and love her with all my heart, enjoy playing tennis and basketball, work for Frito Lay and get to sell Cheetos and Doritos for a living, speak English and Spanish, and I'm a Mormon!

Why I am a Mormon

I'm a Mormon because I know that God lives and loves me. He wants me to have a family, and wants me and my family to return to live with Him again one day. I love the gospel of Jesus Christ because it is a message of hope, of happiness, and gives us a guide, a blueprint, wherein we can in fact return to live with our Heavenly Father and His son Jesus Christ, and our families for all time and eternity if we follow His command. The church teaches us to be better people, better brothers and better sisters, better sons and better daughters, better husbands and better wives, better fathers and better mothers, it teaches us to be a better follower of our Savior Jesus Christ. I am so grateful for the scriptures, for the power of prayer, to have living prophets and apostles to help lead us on this earth today, especially in these ever so difficult and challenging times. I know that the Book of Mormon is the word of God, and that together with the Bible we have the complete word of God. I know that we have living prophets today, and that they receive revelation from God to keep us from the rampant sin that exists today, and if we will listen to their words they will take us to safety and happiness. I know that Jesus is the Christ, and is my Savior, and that He died for my sins and my pains, so that I can be forgiven for my mistakes. I know that there is life after death, and that with my wife and family we can be together for all time and eternity. I love my Savior and I love my Heavenly Father, and will do my absolute best to do their will so that I can be clean and pure in order to be an instrument in their hands to share this great message with everyone i know. I'm a Mormon because I know where I came from, I know why I'm here, and I know where I'm going, and there is nothing sweeter in life than to have that knowledge.

How I live my faith

I love serving and sharing information about our church. Together, my wife and I love to do service for our friends and community. Currently I am serving in our church as a Group Leader, where I help guide and lead a group of men to help us all be better and more strengthened in our homes and work. I also visit a few members of our church on a regular monthly basis, to just make sure that everything is alright with them and in their home, with regards to their spiritual needs, as well as anything else I can support them with. I try to live my faith by being the best example I can be no matter where I am, although at times I am not perfect and make mistakes, I try to help people understand that the church is perfect, and that the members of this great faith are just doing their best in this challenging world.
