Hi I'm Rob

Father of 5. Number of girls 4. Businesses owned 3. Masters degrees 2. Amazing and supportive wife 1. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am a multiple business owner. I have 2 masters degrees. I am a therapist and work with addicts. I play basketball but am getting slower, and I love to fish especially with flies. My favorite of all, however, is being a father of 5 and having an awesome wife!

Why I am a Mormon

I have had many people tell me that since I was born and raised in a Mormon family, that must be why I am Mormon. Part of that is correct and I thank the Lord that I was raised by loving parents who introduced me to the gospel of Jesus Christ. Part of that is incorrect as I had to come face to face with Mormon teachings to determine if they were true. In other words, every person has to determine for themselves what they believe, we are free to choose. I mostly went through the motions until I was 18 years old. Then I decided to fully read the Book of Mormon cover to cover and pray about it, something I had never fully done. I decided that if it was true, I would serve a mission and if nothing happened, I would reconsider. During this time, I remembered an experience I had long forgotten through my teenage years. It was when my younger brother was baptized. I was 12 years old and remembered as he was submersed in the water and came up again, something powerful stirred in my heart. It was so powerful that 6 years later I remembered it clearly. I realized I was again experiencing these same emotions as I read the Book of Mormon. As I prayed asking God if the book were true, these same emotions returned. I knew. Nothing could erase those emotions and powerful feelings from my heart. These powerful stirrings from the Holy Ghost have often returned. One example was when I prayed to know if the true Priesthood from Christ himself had been restored to the earth. The resounding answer I felt in my heart was, "YES! And you have been entrusted with this power!" I know Christ's church has been restored on the earth today. Yes, I am a Mormon, a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I know it is true. I bear witness it is true. I encourage all to sincerely study its teachings, read the Book of Mormon, and pray to know for themselves if truly Christ has restored his full gospel once again to the earth.

How I live my faith

I am currently serving over the missionary program in my local area. I'm still learning what this all means since I was just recently began:) I have had various assignments in my life from being President of different groups in my wards, to helping print Sunday programs, and teaching Sunday School. My daily occupation allows me to do God's work in helping adults but mostly teens in finding hope where addiction wreaks havoc. I run a teen program that focuses on helping these good young people addicted to pornography find hope through God and therapeutic tools. I feel blessed as I watch people torn and defeated in addictive behaviors find the light and hope that comes through learning how to live sober. Most of all, I know that God has called an army of youth to this day that are special beyond measure. I am grateful to be a small part in helping teach them and prepare them for teh coming of our Savior Jesus Christ.
