Hi I'm Kris

I'm a brother of 5, a father of 3, and a husband. I'm both American Indian and White, work at Google, and a Mormon

About Me

I came from an underprivileged background, and credit that for much of what I am today. I have an MBA in Finance, and an under-grad in Economics. I spend as much time with my wife and daughters as I can. I love to play soccer or spend time in the outdoors. I also enjoy working with wood, building large structures or small pieces of furniture. When possible I like to discuss philosophy, politics, or economics. I really love to travel and appreciate other cultures and history. I try to always be objective and look for wisdom and knowledge from any source I can, no matter how unlikely.

Why I am a Mormon

I am confident that there are eternal truths in the universe. These principles hold constant in science, nature, academia, religion and so on. The gospel of Jesus-Christ gives me a firm base, and brings me closer the the spirit of God. I learn more about those truths while under the influence of the Holy Spirit, and so, I try to do what I can to gain as much of its influence so as to open my mind and inspire thoughts and ideas that help me learn and grow. My goal is not merely to return to Heavenly Father after death, but I am more interested in learning to be more like Him.

How I live my faith

I have spent several years as a volunteer church instructor for youth and adults, and have always been a home-teacher, visiting local families and offering service or help to strengthen families wherever I can. Many years ago, I served as a full-time missionary/volunteer in Southern France, where I was constantly engaged with teaching principles that fundamentally strengthen people's lives and futures in all things. Since then, I have always looked for ways to help others grow, while also taking lessons from them.
