Hi I'm Steve

I an Attorney, Cellist, Astronomer, and a Mormon. I also love to hike.

About Me

I am a husband and father, raised three boys, married for 33 years. I just finished hiking the Grand Cayon from the North Rim to the South Rim in one day, 24.5 miles. I love to play the Cello, look at the universe and am a practicing Attorney. I also love working with the Boy Scouts Of America. I have helped over 40 young men receive their Eagle Scout Award. When I look at the sky through a telescope I am amazed at how organized and vast it is. It truely testifys of the reality of God and his Son Jesus Christ. As I hike I marvel at the beauty of God's creations. As I play the Cello I am thankful for the talents that he has blessed me with. As I serve others in the community and in my profession I am reminded of how the Savior's gospel has helped me in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am a Mormon because I have read the Bible and the Book of Mormon, both of which testify that there is a Savior. They testify that Jesus died for us and attoned for our sins. I know that the Holy Ghost will bear witness to one's heart of the truthfullness of the Lord's teachings contained in the Book of Mormon. I know that all who read the Book Of Mormon, Pray with a sincere heart to know if the Book of Mormon is true, if the gospel of Jesus Christ has been restored to the Earth, will receive an answer. I am a Mormon because of the priesthood blessings that come through being married for time and for all eternity in his holy temple. All worthy members of the church have the pleasure and opportunity to go to the temple to have their family sealed, and be together now and forever. I am a Mormon because its teachings have brought great happiness to my life, I know of no better way to live. I am a Mormon because it is led by a prophet of God, just as the church has been led by a prophet throughout its history. I love this Church, I love to serve the people in my community. I know that Jesus is the Christ and am grateful for my knowledge of his teachings.

How I live my faith

I owe all that I have become to the teachings of Jesus Christ. As a Mormon I have been give many opportunities to serve. I have worked with both youth and adults. Last June I helped organize a young mans' encampment up in the mountains where we taught scouting and gospel principles. We had activities such as going down a zip line through the forest, hiking, camping, shooting, archery, leatherwork, astronomy, horseback ridding, etc. We had a lot of fun building character in young men. I visit families in our church each month to see what their needs are. I sit in counsel to discuss in private those needs and how we as members can assit each family in need.
