Hi I'm Xan Rogers

I grew up in Texas, I was home-schooled, I am an aspiring welder, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew up in a small town on the Rio Grande, I didn't have a ton of friends, but I had enough, the ones I did have were good ones, and helped me out. My best friend was and still is not a member of the church, but he inspired me to do better, and i try to do the same back to him. Just like any one else, I have hobbies, I love to go camping, hiking, riding horses, and anything that involves the outdoors. I love sports, basketball, football, bowling, pool, and soccer are only a few. I am not married yet, but I have 24 nieces and nephews, who I love dearly, and I 4 other brothers who are amazing and 3 wonderful sisters. I love my family, they are one of my rocks that help me stand. I am attending a collage in AZ for welding and I am loving it! I have not live a perfect life, no one can, I have had my hard times, just like anyone else, I had left the strait path of my Savior for a short time, I have done things i have regretted, but i know that through the Atonement of Jesus Christ, I have been forgiven.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born and raise in this church. I didn't know that this church was true while I was growing up, I believed it, and hoped it was, but I never knew. About a year before I served a mission for this church, I decided, if I was to be teaching others about my faith for the next 2 years, I better know that this is true. I read the Book of Mormon all the way through, and when I reached the end, I read the passage in Moroni 10. From that point on, I knew that that book was true. I continue to be apart of this church because of the feeling I feel in my heart, I know that this is true, I know it. I can not ignore that feeling. That is how I know it is true, I feel the truth of it in my heart, not my mind, not my thoughts. It is a powerful feeling in my heart.

How I live my faith

I enjoy teaching lessens in church classes. I help others when I feel the Spirit prompt me, like to give someone who i do not, who is need of a ride.

Why was a Restoration of the Gospel needed? Haven’t we always had the Bible?

Xan Rogers
think of it this way, how many lines can you draw with one dot? infinity, right? going in all directions. that dot represent the bible, there are so many ways for it to go, so many different views. now, ad one more dot, how many lines can you draw through them? only one. the 2nd dot represent the Book of Mormon, with the Bible and the Book of Mormon together, there is only one way, one line, one truth. that is why there need to be a restoration of the gospel.
