Hi I'm Lindsey Hyde Williams

I love the outdoors and being surrounded by God's beautiful creations. I love my family and feel so grateful that I am Mormon.

About Me

I have spent the last 17 years in Ogden, UT. I love the mountains and all the great outdoor experiences Ogden/Utah have to offer. I now live in Columbia, MO because my husband is in Veterinary School here. We have loved being here so far and found that it has been a great experience for us. We both have wonderful families and feel very lucky for the circumstances in which we were raised. My husband is a convert of 3 1/2 years and the only member in his family. He comes from a devout catholic background and is lucky enough to have a family who loves and supports him even though they do not have the same beliefs. His being Mormon is/was very hard on his mom, but she has been nothing but kind and loving to us both and I know she is trying very hard to understand. My husband and I have the wonderful blessing of being Sealed for time and all eternity. I look back at my life and can't figure out how I got so lucky to have the experiences and love that I have felt throughout my life. I have had the opportunity to live in another country and travel to many others. I believe that some of those experiences have helped me to have my current view on life and happiness.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I believe it. I was born into the church, but have through my own experiences been able to gain a testimony for myself. Plain and simple, despite my inquisitive and sometimes cynical nature, I have found 100% peace in the teaching of the church. I know that God and Jesus Christ are and that President Monson is our true and current Prophet. It is not always easy to stand as a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints, but there is something so special that has been added to my life because of my membership in this church. I feel so happy and appreciative for life. I am so grateful that Jesus Christ would sacrifice himself so that I can be forgiven for my sins.

How I live my faith

I try to live my faith on a day to day basis by keeping the teachings of the church in my mind throughout each day. I maintain a relationship with my Heavenly Father through prayer on my own and with my husband. I strive to improve my weaknesses. As I attend church each week I try to create a mindset that allows me to feel calm and peaceful so that I am able to feel the spirituality there. I love to be in the outdoors and it is a great environment for me to remember all the things that have been created for us.
