Hi I'm Rachel

I am a mother, a teacher, a wife and a daughter who lives in Arizona. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

For the last seven years I've lived in Arizona with my amazing husband after being married in the Logan Utah temple. Since that time we've had two beautiful children who are my world. I've been a 3rd grade teacher, a preschool teacher in my home, and am now a kindergarten teacher. I love teaching and being with children who have such sweet spirits of Christ. Everything I did in my life has prepared me to be here at this time and place. I grew up in Idaho working on a cattle ranch where I learned the importance of hard work. I went to college at Utah State University knowing I wanted to be a teacher. I also knew I wanted to serve as a missionary of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, so as I turned 21 years old, I had the great opportunity to serve a mission in Argentina. Upon completion of my mission, I returned to Utah State and finished my elementary education degree. After graduation I taught 3rd grade several years before meeting my eternal companion and moving to Arizona. I'm thankful for the knowledge of the gospel that I have, as it's shaped, molded and prepared me for this amazing time and place.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the church and appreciate my parents taking me to church as a little child. I remember the day I was baptized after I turned 8 years old and I became an official member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. My testimony was strengthened and grew the older I got and I've always just had a burning knowledge the church is true. However, I do remember a time when I was 17 years old that I had several personal and sacred experiences that have defined my testimony and gave me the surety that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day is the only true and living church upon the earth. The day I was married in the temple for time and all eternity to my eternal companion was another sacred experience that defined my testimony. The birth of my children also solidified my testimony of the eternal plan of families in our Heavenly Father's plan. I know that the gospel brings joy and happiness in my life. I love the opportunities I have to serve and help others through the gospel. I'm thankful for my personal testimony and knowledge of my Savior, Jesus Christ. I know I am a daughter of my Heavenly Father and as his daughter, he will watch over and protect me, just as I do with my own children.

How I live my faith

I live my faith through being a good example. I know that actions always speak louder than words. Therefore I try to always live the way that would allow to see Jesus Christ's light through me. I love serving and helping others, as we know we are only serving our God when we serve our fellowmen. I love teaching my children about the gospel and helping them learn the importance of prayer and who their Savior is. I want them to know we have a living prophet on the Earth to share with us what the Lord would want us to know. I love the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints for who it helps me become.
