Hi I'm Jared

I was born and raised in Mesa Arizona. I love good music, good food and good company. I'm a mormon

About Me

I am married to the love of my life and together we have 3 beautiful girls. Nothing brings me more happiness than spending time with my little family. I work in the investment finance industry and am currently going to school full time to get my Masters in Accountancy. When I have free time, I love working on projects around the house, especially when they require wood working. I dabble in building rustic furniture. My in-laws have been kind enough to let me furnish their cabin with the various pieces I have made. I enjoy this hobby thoroughly, but have come to the realization that it won’t be helping me retire anytime soon. I have been blessed with an amazing mother and amazing in-laws. One of my ideas of an ideal evening is spending time in their homes and enjoying a nice dinner and good conversation. I also enjoy watching movies with my wife. While we don’t share the same taste in movies, we have made compromises; I have watched Pride and Prejudice and she has watched Lonesome Dove.

Why I am a Mormon

Being a member of the church is not without sacrifice. It requires devotion to our Father in Heaven and our Savior Jesus Christ. While some may view our teachings and beliefs as confining, I find them to be the true definition of joy and happiness. I am a Mormon because I love my family more than anything in this world. I am a Mormon because I know that we are children of a loving Father in Heaven who brought us to this earth to experience joy and sorrow and prove ourselves worthy to live with him again. I am a Mormon because I love my Savior and strive to follow his example. I am a Mormon because God has restored the fullness of his Gospel to this earth and it can only be found in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.

How I live my faith

One of my opportunities to serve as a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints is to teach a Sunday school class. The class is called Gospel Doctrine. I am able to teach those who attend about the New Testament and the teachings of our savior. I try to be an example of the savior to those I come in contact with. This can be a challenge to always act and speak as the Savior would; however, this is the purpose for being on this earth, to perfect ourselves.
