Hi I'm Sapphire

I'm a nursing student, a hopeful mother, a wife, the oldest of seven children and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm a nursing student with less then a yr left to my degree. Its been a difficult program but I hope it will be worth it, to be able to help others in the end. I live in a small, fixer upper house, that my wonderful husband and I are fixing ourselves. I live in the city but hope to one day live in the country again. I live close to my family, of which I am the oldest of seven children and the youngest being 19 years apart from me. I try as hard as i can to be with my family and see my mom, dad, brothers and sister whenever i can. I love sports and try to play them whenever I get the chance but since school takes up most of my time I don't get the chance very often. Though jr high and high school I played basketball, football, softball, weight lifted, ran short distance, long jumped, and threw shotput and discus in track. I also competed in Marching Band in high school. I love animals and have two big dogs and a cat. Both me and my hubsand enjoy camping and being outside, and our dogs do as well, if we start pulling out the camping gear they are right there ready to go. I hopefully will be a mother one day and am just waiting on the Lord's time.

Why I am a Mormon

Both my Mom and Dad are members and I grew up in the church. I still live the gospel due to my testimony of the Gospel. My mom's parnets are both members and my dad's mom is a member but my grandpa was catholic. Some of my Dads siblings are members and some are not. When i was about 13-14 years old, about the same age as Joseph Smith when he wanted to know what church to join, I read some scriptures from the Bible and Book of Mormon and I prayed to see if my testimony was mine or if I was going to church just cause my parnets told me it was true. When i got up, I knew that The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints was true and that my testimony was mine. Since then I have had many reassurances that the church is true and have watched the joy it brings to my family and others that are touched by it. Sometimes trials and struggles bring me down but if I trust in the Lord I know I can get through them and be lifted up by my Hevanly Father and Jesus Christ.

How I live my faith

I currently teach the three to four year olds, also know as the sunbeam class. I love teaching them even though it can be challenging since they are a very active class this year. I try to always keep my standards where ever I go and in whatever I do.
