Hi I'm Kailee Jensen!

I'm a full-time missionary for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. I'm in love with music. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am currently serving as a full-time missionary in the Florida Jacksonville Mission. It has been the greatest and hardest time of my life. It is a privilege to serve my Lord and Savior every day, all day. Before my mission, I was a student at BYU-Idaho studying English and Music. I love being around people, laughing, and finding fun in life. Music (voice, piano, and organ) is a huge part of who I am, but I also enjoy writing, reading, dancing, and being outside in nature. I loved my job as secretary/editor for the president of BYU-I, which has been a neat blessing in my life. I get to interact with so many wonderful people! I look forward to returning back when I have completed my service here in Florida. I grew up as the oldest of seven children, and consider my siblings to be some of my best friends. My family means more to me than anything else in this life, and I thank God for them everyday. I am also blessed with wonderful friends who have brought joy into my life. I am thankful for the people and experiences that have helped me develop into who I am today.

Why I am a Mormon

I have always been a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and I cannot think of a time when I doubted that the teachings of the gospel were true. I am thankful for parents who instilled good values in me and encouraged me to attend church regularly. Their example helped me realize that I, too, want to live as Christ did and serve others. I was baptized at the age of eight and since then have tried to be the best Christian I can be--I know Christ went about doing good for others, so I strive to make others happy as I interact with them. My understanding of the gospel has grown as I have studied the scriptures--both the Bible and Book of Mormon--and prayed to my Heavenly Father. I know that He hears me and understands what I am going through. There have been particular trials in my life that have helped me grow closer to my Savior. These experiences have lead me to know of the absolute, infinite love that the Lord has for each of His children. He really does want all of us to return Home to Him someday--and I know that as we keep His commandments, we can do just that. Obedience to His commandments brings the greatest joy in our lives, and I am striving every day to keep them. This church keeps me happy and hoping for the best!

How I live my faith

I live my faith by trying to live a Christ-like life. I study the attributes Christ portrayed and then strive to emulate them in my every day occurrences. Currently, I am living my faith by teaching what I know to be true to those I am blessed to meet on my mission. I am striving to be a disciple of Christ now and forever. In the past, I have been very involved with music in the church. I know that music is a great way to feel of the Lord's love and helps uplift the soul. I am grateful for the chances I've had to share my testimony of Christ through music. I am trying every day to live what I know. I hope that others can come to better know the Savior as they come to know me. Since He is not on the Earth right now, I have realized that I am His hands. I hope to show my love for my Savior by loving others.
