Hi I'm Troy

I'm a husband, father, constuction worker, country music lover, and avid Husker fan, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I love being a husband and father. We like most families are very busy with sports, church activities, work and participating in wholesome recreational activities. We are always on the go, but we enjoy spending time together and continuing to develope our family relationships. We love getting together with extended family for vacaions, birthdays, reunions and sporting events. I love to play basketball and enjoy playing with my sons who as they get older are getting harder to beat. I also like all kinds of music, but enjoy country music the most and going to concerts when the opportunity arrises. My wife and I enjoy the theatre and look forward when a broadway play comes near where we live. A date with my wife and Sunday afternoon naps are two things I truly look forward to. I also love reading to or being read to by my little girl. I consider myself so blessed to have a loving family and many friends that support our family in so many ways.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born to a loving family that established a habit of going to church weekly. I'm so thankful to have been brought up in this church. Even though I grew up in The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, it really wasn't until I was preparing to serve a mission for my church that I really came to know for myself the truthfulness of this gospel. As a missionary I really came to understand what the Saviour did for me, and it established a foundation that has helped me grow as a husband and father of a loving wife and three wonderful children. The Saviours example gives me strength to overcome obstacles I have to face, and to have confidence if I do my best, I can be forgiven of shortcomings and I too can be with my family for eternity. The gospel gives me perspective and helps remind me of whats truly important in our short time here on earth. Its my hope that I can live in such a way that I can thank the Saviour personally for all he has done for me.

How I live my faith

I attend church weekly and serve in the church with wonderful youth and other members who strengthen one another. I try to serve someone in some way daily as I make my way through this life. Scripture study and prayer help me to stay focused and remind me whats most important in my life. As I strive to be a good person, a good husband and father, I feel the Lords love and strength as I work to prepare myself and family to be an eternal family. I'm thankful for a loving Father in Heaven and Saviour who love me more than I can comprehend and have made these blessings available to me.
