Hi I'm Kristen

and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I grew in a family of 7 children and love all my brothers and sisters. I am currently on exchange in Canada and I miss all my family. I am in my 3rd year of psychology and I am interested in working in the area of guidance counselling. I love music; I enjoy dancing, singing and playing the piano. My favourite sports are swimming and basketball or netball. I have worked in administration for the past few years while completing my degee. At school I held leadership positions such as music captain, student councillor and school captain and as part of these roles enjoyed organising school events. I am grateful to have grown up not too far away from beautiful beaches on the Australian coastline and will be seeing snow for the first time this fall in Canada!

Why I am a Mormon

I believe in Christ. When I was 18 I decided that I needed to find out why I was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I read the Book of Mormon, alongside the Bible and every day was able to have spiritual experiences. I feel peace when I read the Book of Mormon and know that it is the word of God and another testament of Jesus Christ. I have felt the Lord's hand so much in my life as He blesses me for following His commandments. I know that God also blesses me when I show forth my faith by taking actions in line with His will for me. I know that God Lives. I know He has a plan for me and needs me in this life. I know that He loves all his children and will bless anyone who follows His teachings. I know that the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints holds the fulness of the gospel of Jesus Christ. Studying the Book of Mormon and Bible together makes sense! I am so grateful to be a member of this church. I am grateful for the knowledge that one day I can return to live with God after all I can do.

How I live my faith

For the past few years I have served on a council that organises activities for 18-30 year olds who attend gospel classes (for example, Book of Mormon, New Testament, Scripture study skills, etc). We organised fun activities so that people can come and be edified by studying the scriptures and then enjoy social activites after. I really enjoyed encouraging people to come and be uplifted by studying God's teachings.
