Hi I'm Kamele

I'm a Mormon. I grew up in a loving family. I am one of thirteen children. I love my parents and I love my brothers and sisters.

About Me

I am married to Steve. We have four children. Our son Ben is currently serving a mission for the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. We have three other girls--Breanna, Alyssa, and Cammie. Cammie was born with an undiagnosed heart condition. When she was five weeks old she required surgery to correct that defect. I found myself turning my faith to the master Physician who is Jesus Christ. Cammie's condition required our family to place her life in the Lord's hands. He was great and merciful! Her life was preserved. Prior to her receiving medical help, I did not believe that she would live. I told our son that I did not think she was going to live. He went into his room and prayed. He told my husband and I that she was going to live. He had gone to his room and had prayed and had received an answer from God that indeed she would live. I have great faith in God and in his Son Jesus Christ. I know that they are mindful of us and that they do love us and will help us in our hour of need.

Why I am a Mormon

When I was eight years old I had a sunday school teacher who taught us about the Book of Mormon. Her name was Roselle Y. She taught us that if we would read the Book of Mormon and if we would pray about it that God would reveal its truthfulness to us individually. At that early age I took her challenge to heart and I did as she had admonished. I was baptized a memeber of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints when I was eight years old. I am so thankful for the knowledge that has come to me as I have sought to live and keep the commandments of God. Commandments are here to bless us and to help us...not to hinder or prohibit us. I am grateful for ancestors who also sought for truth and who found that truth within the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints. Because of there faith in God my faith is also sustained. I am grateful for the prophet Joseph Smith. I am grateful for our current prophet Thomas S. Monson.

How I live my faith

I currently serve as a teacher to the young four and five year old children. I also visit several sisters on a monthly bases. I phone or visit them. I especially enjoy the older sisters that I visit. They are wonderful people.

Why don’t Mormons drink coffee, tea, or alcohol? What is the Mormon Church’s law of health and proper diet?
