Hi I'm Christine

I'm a mother. I'm a wife. I'm a teacher, and I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I was born and raised in Texas. I love living here because of the weather, the people, and especially because my family is here. I love to read and to spend time with my family. We love to cook, work in the yard, and go places together. I love being a mother. It is a special experience to help someone learn and grow in this life.

Why I am a Mormon

I am Mormon because I have studied, prayed, and have found that the message of the Gospel of Jesus Christ is true. The Gospel brings joy in a world that is often not joyful, hope to a world that is hopeless, and peace in a world where peace cannot be found. Having the example of Jesus Christ in my life helps me find a purpose for my life. The trials and obstacles I have to face have a deeper meaning. And, when I begin to struggle to find peace, I can remember that President Henry B. Eyring taught: “It will comfort us when we must wait in distress for the Savior’s promised relief that He knows, from experience, how to heal and help us. … And faith in that power will give us patience as we pray and work and wait for help. He could have known how to succor us simply by revelation, but He chose to learn by His own personal experience. ” I know my Savior lives and that He loves me. I know He will not leave me comfortless. I know He will direct my life if I but ask for His guidance and be willing to listen and then act.

How I live my faith

I have been blessed with the opportunity to teach within the church. I have taught 18 month olds all the way through adults. I have worked with the youth. I have helped with the literacy effort in the church. I have sung within the church. Each time I am asked to share my time and talents within the church, I am strengthened. I gain a greater understanding for why we are here and how being willing to help each other makes us grow closer to our Savior. I feel the Holy Ghost teaching me that what I am saying or singing is true each time I sam asked to talk, teach, or sing. I know that those who are listening have the same opportunity to have that assurance from the Holy Ghost as well if they are listening with an open heart. I know that as I humbly serve, I will continue to be blessed and grow closer to Jesus Christ.
