Hi I'm Kelly Strang

I have a baby brother with leukemia. I'm a cross country runner. I have 5 siblings. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I'm Kelly. I am a sister to 5 siblings, and am the second oldest. I had to live for fourteen months without my mom and 4 younger siblings. My baby brother was diagnosed with leukemia, and is now back at home from Children's Hospital. I run cross country with some of my best friends, who help me be the person I strive to be. I am on Student leadership at my school, and I love being a leader! I enjoy dressing up for spirit days, its so fun to show my school spirit. I love the winter time because it makes me feel warm and fuzzy. I have a dog and a cat. I love being happy! I go to seminary every morning at 6:30 a.m. I really love my YW group of girls! The gospel is a foundation in my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I have grown up in The Church, and I have been actively attending my whole life. I really love the people in my ward, and I find my church friends a strength to me. Wearing a CTR ring everyday helps me feel close to my Savior, reminding me that I have taken on the name of Christ. I believe that others are watching our example. People know who we are, and see that there is a light in us. Some of my school friends point out some of my qualities that I possess because of the teachings of the church, and I am grateful for that. Personal Progress has helped me so much in becoming who I am right now. Without this church, I don't know who I would be.

How I live my faith

I love to see the girls in my ward come out to activities. I serve my community through clubs at school, and through the church. I find it so worthwhile to do things for others! I love babysitting for some of the members of our ward when they have to go to meetings, and other church activities. I pray for missionary moments, and that helps me to receive questions about the gospel, and also answer them. I really love to be cheerful at school, and in return, people ask me why I'm so happy. I love to answer that! I have such a great life because of the church, and the standards it sets!

What is a “testimony” that Mormons speak of?

Kelly Strang
A testimony is something you believe, but more than that, it's something you know. It is a spiritual witness that the Holy Ghost confirms to you. Show more Show less
