Hi I'm Courtney

I'm a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. I like to write. I'm a college student. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I am the youngest of five children and the first one on my family to go to college! I'm an english major in Idaho, and I love it. This life is all about learning. I feel like I learn so much everyday.. but I know that I have so much more to learn for the rest of my life.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints. When I was younger, I wanted to be a missionary for the church. Then I went through a time where I didn't want to be part of the church at all, and that lasted until i was about 13. I started gaining my testimony then. A few years later, my family and I went on a church history tour where we saw some of the places that the Saints had been, such as Nauvoo. Being where they had been and walking where they had walked was so special. I grew so much spiritually in that time. I know Joseph Smith is a Prophet of God, and that he did see God the father and Jesus Christ when he was a young boy. I know Joseph Smith restored the fullness of God's everlasting Gospel to the earth. I know the Book of Mormon is true. I know that it is words from God.

How I live my faith

I once heard when I was younger to share your testimony everyday, sometimes use words. I live my faith by showing through my examples what I believe. I hope people can look at me and know that there is something different about me, and that is because i'm representing Jesus Christ, more then just as a missionary, but as a member of Christ's church. I have the light of Christ with me.

What are Mormon Temples used for?

The Temple is one of the most amazing places on earth. Not only can we feel a peaceful feeling inside, but we can also feel a peaceful feeling outside while on the temple grounds. It is a house of God and it is treated that way. We use temples to come closer to God. There are promises that we make with God that we can't make anywhere else. It is truly a special place to be. I know that it is God's house. Show more Show less
