Hi I'm Rebekah

I was raised in Utah, but spent the last couple years in Arkansas. I love to sew and quilt. I'm a Mormon.

About Me

I get to stay home with my son who will soon be a year old. I went on bed rest for six weeks while I was pregnant with him. Memebers in my ward really helped me during that time. I love to sew and create new things. I especially enjoy sewing clothing and accessories for myself and my son. My husband is in law school and stays very busy with classes and homework. When we have free time we enjoy cooking together, hiking, golfing, and reading together.

Why I am a Mormon

I was born into a family that already enjoyed the blessings of the gospel. I grew and learned from my parents the teachings of the gospel. As I grew and attended church I learned truths that resonated in my soul. Step by step I gained a testimony that this is the only true church on the earth. I know that we have a loving Heavenly Father who watches over us and cares for us. He sent His Son Jesus Christ to atone for our Sins. He loves us so much that He suffered and took all of our sins, transgressions, and pains upon Himself so that we could return to live with Him. As I learned about the doctrine of the family my testimony was strengthened even more. It is such a blessing that we can be sealed to those we love for time and for all eternity. I don't have to say goodbye to those I love at death. I will see them again. The more I learn of the gospel, the more sense it makes and the more I see how incredibly mericful our Father is.

How I live my faith

For the past few years I have been able to work with the children in our church. The children attend their own classes during two fo the three hours at church. I get to accompany them on the piano during an hour of singing time. I love hearing them sing their testimony's, affirming their belief in our Savior, the blessings of temples, and their knowledge that they are indeed beloved children of a loving Heavenly Father. I also enjoy opportunities to visit other women that attend our church. We try to uplift each other with messages of the gospel. As I read the scriptures daily I feel peace and a closeness to our Savior and the truthfulness of our Heavenly Father's divine plan for us.

What blessings can we receive through the gift of the Holy Ghost?

The gift of the Holy Ghost is a great blessing. I have recieved wonderful peace during times of trial and tribulation. The Holy Ghost has guided me in my university studies, whom to marry, and when to start a family. My husband and I have been guided step by step concerning schooling and career decisions. The Holy Ghost can help us feel our Heavenly Father's love for us. People that haven't been baptised into our church can feel the Holy Ghost from time to time. Feelings of peace and love, times of joy, and happiness while serving others are times when the Holy Ghost is present. Show more Show less
